 Battle Navigation Puzzle

Battle Navigation is abreviated B-Nav for those of you who don't know! ^_^

I believe there should be a b-nav section so post your b-nav help here

Let me kick it off.

How I b-nav is i wait it out the first turn and let them come to me, unless it's a weird map or they start close. I judge a wierd map by looking if there is any whirlpools or wind within 1 turn (a set of 4 moves) of our ship. Letting them come to me gives me the advantage because I can then react to what they are doing, rather than both of us making a move and then reacting.

My goal during B-Nav is to always get in front of their ship. This gives the advantage, especially if they have been shot up because they have less or no moves, because then they cannot hit me without ramming me first, which will allow me to get at least 1 more shot because they usually will grapple at this point. if they have been shot up they will have no moves or little moves, giving the advantage of being able to shoot them without them being able to hit me allowing for an easy max.

This is it for now...any thoughts/comments on my strategy? afro

i just got a couple of tips

ill put a video of bnav up later but heres a few tips =]]

TIPS

1. the bot's try to grapple you using the least amount of moves they can so try to intercept them with a shot.

2. this ones a bit complicated but i will show u it in the vid =] its about, timing ur moves =],

3. do not lsm twice in a row, i dont recommend lsm's but they help sumtimes =p.

4. out run long ships untill ur 10 turns are over then turn around and shoot them because after the 10 turns are over they usually only do 2 moves a turn.

5. dont use whirl pools unless u are certain which way you will come out at.(all whirl pools go clockwise unless ur on the other side of the world and then they go counter clockwise, just kidding lol its nufin like the sink or the toilet. all whirl pools do go clock wise easiest way to enter a whirl pool is front on =] well easiest way to predict where u will be next.

6. bot sloops prefer to go turn then foward.. or foward then turn if u get wat i mean lol..

7. cutters prefer to do turn turn

8. i think thats all i got to say =] number 8 isnt a tip i just felt like putting the number 8 there.

To add a quick little tip, the bots will always take the shortest route to your ship on the first turn of the Sea Battle. Because of this, it is very easy to land 1-2 shots on the enemy's ship on the very first turn.

i dont follow really any general rule but i try never to go close so they can grapple me until ive maxed them, those rules about how bots follow a certain pattern i find a lie after i tried following it!!! apparently they changed them once they were found out, just stay a nice distance and be trigger happy with a good gunner
